These are our 5 to 7 person spas, the range most Australian families go for. Big enough that everyone gets their own seat and jets, but not so big that they take over your backyard.

Every 5 person spa, 6 person spa, and 7 person spa here comes with the Balboa control system, a full foam insulated shell, and a lockable hardcover included in the price. The Family, Fiji, and Jamaica are our best sellers in this size. They fit comfortably on most decks and patios, and they're easy to run year-round without blowing up your power bill.

If you're not sure whether you need a 5 person spa or something bigger like a 7 person model, the main difference comes down to seating layout and overall footprint. A 5 person spa works well for a couple or small family who want a bit of extra room. A 6 or 7 person spa is better if you regularly have people over or just prefer more space to stretch out. Either way, all models in this range use the same jet technology, pumps, and insulation, so you're not giving up quality by going smaller.

FAQs About 5–7 Person Spas

What's the difference between a 5 person spa and a 7 person spa?

The main difference is seating layout and overall size. A 5 person spa typically measures around 200 x 200 cm and works well for couples or small families who want a bit of extra space. A 7 person spa is closer to 230 x 230 cm or larger, with more seats and more jets. If you regularly have friends or family over, the bigger model is usually worth it. If it's mostly for two or three people, a 5 person spa gives you plenty of room without taking up as much space on your deck.

How much room do I need in my backyard for a 6 person spa?

Most 6 person spas in our range sit around 210 to 230 cm on each side. You'll want at least 30 to 50 cm of clearance around the spa for access and servicing, so a space roughly 3m x 3m is usually enough. Make sure the area is flat, can support the weight when filled (a 6 person spa full of water can weigh over 1,500 kg), and has access for an electrician to connect the power.

How much does it cost to run a 5 to 7 person spa?

Running costs depend on how often you use it, your local electricity rate, and whether you keep the hardcover on when the spa is not in use. All our spas come with full foam insulation and a lockable hardcover to keep heat in. Many of our customers report running costs between $10 and $20 per week. Adding a heat pump can cut that further, especially in cooler months.

Do I need a special power connection?

Yes. Most 5 to 7 person spas need a dedicated 15 amp or 32 amp power supply, depending on the model and pump configuration. This needs to be installed by a licensed electrician. We can recommend electricians in most capital cities if you need one.

Can I use a 5 to 7 person spa all year round in Australia?

Yes. All our spas are designed for year-round use. The full foam insulation and hardcover keep the water warm even in winter, and the Balboa control system lets you set and maintain your preferred temperature automatically. In summer, you can lower the temperature for a cooler soak.
