Express Lane Swim Spas

Buying Guide

The Express Lane series is our purpose-built swim training range. Two models, two sizes, one focus: giving you a proper swim current in a backyard unit that is built to handle regular, serious use.

Both models come with a jet configuration specifically designed for sustained counter-current resistance swimming. This is not a swim spa that happens to have a swim jet — the Express Lane is engineered from the ground up for swimmers who want to train at home.

What Makes the Express Lane Different

Most swim spas are designed primarily for family use and recreational swimming, with a swim current as one feature among many. The Express Lane is designed the other way around. The jet system is configured to produce a strong, consistent counter-current that you can adjust to match your fitness level, from easy recreational laps up to resistance that challenges experienced swimmers.

Both models come with the Balboa control system, full foam insulation, a lockable hardcover, LED lighting, and ozone sanitation included in the price.

FAQ about Express Lane Swim Spas

Is the Express Lane swim spa suitable for competitive swimmers?

The Express Lane series produces a strong, adjustable counter-current suited to regular fitness training and general conditioning. It handles most recreational and club-level training well. Elite competitive swimmers preparing for events at Olympic-level intensity may find that no residential swim spa fully replicates open-water or pool training, but for the vast majority of active swimmers the Express Lane current is more than sufficient for year-round home training.

How does the Express Lane compare to other swim spas in the range?

The Express Lane 4.5m and 6m are the only models in our range purpose-configured for swim training. Other models like the Royal Swim, Atlantic Swim, and Famous Swim include a swim current but are designed more for family use. If training is the main reason you are buying a swim spa, the Express Lane is the right starting point.

Can I use the Express Lane for hydrotherapy and relaxation as well?

Yes. Both models have a spa seating zone with four massage pumps. After a training session you can switch from the swim current to the hydrotherapy jets for recovery. It is not as large a seating area as a dedicated spa pool, but it covers recovery and relaxation alongside training.

What is included in the price?

Both Express Lane models include the Balboa control system, full foam insulation, lockable hardcover, LED lighting, and ozone sanitation. Steps and heat pumps are optional additions. Call 1300 185 338 to confirm current inclusions and any promotional offers before ordering.

How long does it take for the swim current to reach full speed?

Both Express Lane models reach full swim current within a few seconds of turning the jets on. The Balboa control system lets you adjust the current speed up or down from the control panel or a compatible remote. Most swimmers start at a lower setting and work up to a resistance level that matches their fitness. There is no warm-up time needed for the jets themselves — the water temperature is maintained between sessions so the spa is ready to use whenever you are.
