Spa Filters

Buying Guide

Spa filters are a consumable that need regular attention. A clean, functioning filter is what keeps your spa water clear between chemical treatments. When a filter is clogged or past its replacement date, the pump has to work harder to push water through, water quality drops, and chemical treatments become less effective. Keeping on top of filter maintenance is one of the simpler parts of spa ownership — it just needs to happen on a schedule.

Our Spa Filter Range

E7 Spa Filter

Our replacement E7 filter is designed for spa pools in the Spas Wholesale range. It is a direct replacement for the filter cartridge that comes fitted as standard in our spa models. Regular replacement is recommended every 6 to 12 months depending on how often the spa is used and how well the water chemistry is maintained.

Filter Clean 500ml

Filter Clean is a chemical soak specifically designed for spa filter cartridges. Rather than replacing the filter every time it gets dirty, Filter Clean restores the filter by removing oils, minerals, and debris that build up in the filter media over time. Used regularly — typically every four to six weeks — Filter Clean extends the life of each filter cartridge and keeps filtration performance high between full replacements.

How to Maintain Your Spa Filter

Spa filter maintenance has two components: regular cleaning and periodic replacement.

Cleaning (every 4 to 6 weeks): Remove the filter cartridge, rinse it thoroughly with a garden hose to dislodge loose debris, then soak it overnight in a Filter Clean solution. Rinse again before reinstalling. Having a spare filter cartridge on hand means you can reinstall a clean one immediately while the other soaks, rather than leaving the spa running without filtration.

Replacement (every 6 to 12 months): Even with regular cleaning, filter media degrades over time. A filter that has been in use for 12 months is typically past its effective life regardless of how well it has been maintained. Signs your filter needs replacing include water that does not clear up properly after chemical treatment, increased pressure readings on the pump, or visible wear on the filter pleats.

Compatibility

The E7 filter is designed for spa models in the Spas Wholesale range. If you are buying a replacement filter for a spa not purchased from us, check your existing filter dimensions and model number before ordering. Call 1300 185 338 or email info@spaswholesale.com.au with your spa model and we can confirm compatibility.

Spa Filters FAQ

How often should I replace my spa filter?

Every 6 to 12 months for most spa owners, depending on how frequently the spa is used and how consistently the filter is cleaned. Heavy use and irregular cleaning will shorten filter life. Regular cleaning with Filter Clean every four to six weeks extends the life of each cartridge.

Can I clean my spa filter instead of replacing it?

Yes, and you should. Regular cleaning with a hose rinse and Filter Clean soak keeps the filter working well between replacements. Cleaning is not a substitute for eventual replacement though — filter media degrades over time and a filter that has been in use for 12 months or more should be replaced regardless of how clean it looks.

What happens if I run my spa without a filter?

Running a spa without a filter will quickly result in cloudy, dirty water and puts unnecessary strain on the pump. If your filter needs replacing, the quickest fix is to have a spare on hand so you can swap immediately. Call us if you need a filter urgently and we can advise on the fastest delivery option to your area.

Do you deliver spa filters nationwide?

Yes. Spa filters are delivered from our national warehouse network. Check the product listing for delivery costs or call 1300 185 338 for a delivery estimate to your location.

How do I know which filter fits my spa?

Check your spa model's product page or user manual for the filter model number. For Spas Wholesale spa models the E7 filter is the standard replacement. If you are unsure, call 1300 185 338 with your spa model and we can confirm before you order.
