5-7 Person Spas

The main difference is seating layout and overall size. A 5 person spa typically measures around 200 x 200 cm and works well for couples or small families who want a bit of extra space. A 7 person spa is closer to 230 x 230 cm or larger, with more seats and more jets. If you regularly have friends or family over, the bigger model is usually worth it. If it's mostly for two or three people, a 5 person spa gives you plenty of room without taking up as much space on your deck.

Most 6 person spas in our range sit around 210 to 230 cm on each side. You'll want at least 30 to 50 cm of clearance around the spa for access and servicing, so a space roughly 3m x 3m is usually enough. Make sure the area is flat, can support the weight when filled (a 6 person spa full of water can weigh over 1,500 kg), and has access for an electrician to connect the power.

Running costs depend on how often you use it, your local electricity rate, and whether you keep the hardcover on when the spa is not in use. All our spas come with full foam insulation and a lockable hardcover to keep heat in. Many of our customers report running costs between $10 and $20 per week. Adding a heat pump can cut that further, especially in cooler months.

Yes. Most 5 to 7 person spas need a dedicated 15 amp or 32 amp power supply, depending on the model and pump configuration. This needs to be installed by a licensed electrician. We can recommend electricians in most capital cities if you need one.

Yes. All our spas are designed for year-round use. The full foam insulation and hardcover keep the water warm even in winter, and the Balboa control system lets you set and maintain your preferred temperature automatically. In summer, you can lower the temperature for a cooler soak.
