Spa Installation Guide: What to Check Before Delivery Day

A smooth spa installation starts before delivery. The exact base, electrical supply, access and placement requirements depend on the selected model and your property, so use the current product specification rather than generic dimensions or fixed installation rules.

1. Confirm the Full Delivery Route

Measure from the unloading point to the final spa position. Check gates, side access, corners, steps, rooflines, trees, fences, retaining walls, power lines and other overhead restrictions. Compare those measurements with the exact product dimensions shown on the live product page.

2. Prepare a Suitable Load-Bearing Base

The installed spa needs a level, stable base that is suitable for the full operating load of the selected product, including water and bathers. The correct construction depends on the spa, ground conditions and site. Do not rely on one universal slab thickness for every model or property; obtain appropriate structural or building advice where needed.

3. Confirm Electrical Requirements Before Delivery

Electrical requirements vary by model and variant. Some current spa models publish 15A Plug & Play configurations, while others require hardwired electrical installation. Swim spas commonly require more substantial model-specific electrical planning. Fixed electrical work must be completed by an appropriately licensed electrician.

5. Plan Filling and Drainage

Make sure a suitable water source is available and plan where water can be discharged during maintenance without causing flooding, erosion or problems for neighbouring property. Follow local requirements that apply to water discharge.

6. Check Barriers, Fencing and Local Requirements

Pool and spa barrier, registration and approval requirements vary by state, territory, council and installation type. Check the rules that apply to your property rather than assuming a generic exemption based only on spa size.

7. Decide Whether Specialist Lifting Is Needed

If normal ground access is not suitable, a crane or other specialist lifting service may be required. This should be confirmed before delivery. Third-party lifting, electrical, plumbing, structural and site-work costs are separate unless expressly included in your written quote.
