How to Install a Spa Pool in Australia: Complete Pre-Delivery Checklist

Good preparation makes spa delivery and installation much easier. Use this checklist before your Spas Wholesale spa arrives.

1. Prepare a Level, Load-Bearing Base

Your spa must sit on a flat, stable surface capable of supporting the full operating weight of the exact model, including water and occupants. Confirm site requirements before construction.

2. Check Delivery Access

Measure gates, side passages, corners, overhead clearances and the route from the street to the final position. If standard access is not possible, a crane or other specialised handling may be required.

3. Confirm Electrical Requirements

Electrical requirements vary by model and variant. Always refer to the current product specification and arrange a licensed electrician where required.

4. Check Safety and Barrier Requirements

Pool and spa barrier requirements vary by state, local council, installation type and site. Check the current rules that apply to your property.

5. Plan Water, Drainage and Service Access

Ensure you have access to water for filling and leave appropriate access around the equipment area for future servicing.

6. Coordinate Third-Party Trades Where Needed

Spas Wholesale can assist with planning for electricians, plumbers, crane operators and installation requirements. Third-party service fees are not included unless expressly quoted.

Pre-Delivery Checklist

  • base prepared for the exact model and filled weight
  • delivery route measured and cleared
  • electrical requirements confirmed
  • local barrier and safety requirements checked
  • final spa position confirmed
  • water source available
  • crane or specialised handling arranged if required
