7 Things to Look for When Buying a Spa Pool in Australia

A spa pool is a long-term purchase, so the best comparison is not simply the lowest advertised price. Look at warranty coverage, current product specifications, materials, controls, installation requirements, after-sales support and how clearly the supplier distinguishes published specifications from marketing claims.

Spas Wholesale is Australia’s #1 Spas & Swim Spas Online Store — 5 Australian Warehouses. No Middlemen. No Showroom Mark-ups.

1. Read the Warranty Coverage, Not Just the Headline

Ask exactly what the structural warranty covers and how individual components are covered. Spas Wholesale spa pools and swim spas are backed by a Lifetime Structural Warranty on frame structural integrity, with separate warranty periods and conditions applying to components. View current warranty information.

2. Check the Shell, Frame and Materials

Look for current model-level evidence rather than assuming one material applies to every spa. Selected Spas Wholesale models publish Imported U.S. Lucite® Acrylic, while other models publish cast acrylic with fibreglass reinforcement without a Lucite brand claim.

3. Check the Control System

Control systems also vary by model. Many current products publish USA Balboa controls, but we do not assign Balboa to a model unless the current product specification supports it. Compare Materials & Controls Evidence.

4. Match the Electrical Setup to the Product

Electrical requirements vary by model and variant. Some current products publish 15A Plug & Play configurations while others require hardwired installation. Follow the exact product specification and use a licensed electrician where required.

5. Compare Massage by Layout, Not Jet Count Alone

Jet count does not by itself determine massage quality or health outcomes. Compare seating positions, massage zones, pump configuration, adjustability and which areas each seat targets.

6. Plan Delivery and Installation Before You Buy

Check the final product footprint, full delivery route, base requirements and whether an electrician, plumber or crane may be required. Third-party service costs are separate unless expressly quoted.

7. Check Stock, Dispatch and Local Support

Spas Wholesale has five Australian warehouse locations in QLD, VIC, SA, NSW and WA. In-stock orders are dispatched within 48 business hours, excluding weekends and public holidays. Free warehouse pickup is available by arrangement.

Direct Online vs Showroom Retail

Our direct online sales model removes unnecessary retail layers and traditional showroom mark-ups. Compare current live price together with specification, warranty and support rather than treating price alone as the quality measure.
